Wipe the edges of the cassette over the heated surface to quickly prepare the block for insertion into the microtome.

Multiple cassettes can be held together and their edges cleaned in the one action. The ridges on the top heated surface are angled to allow the melted wax to drain into a recepticle on the side of the instrument.
The table top is approximately 230 x 160mm. Temperature control from ambient to 90C.
